"COWBOY BLUES"
Robert Smith (Smitty)
(LaneLegend)

I went 'n got me somethin'
This ol' boy can't use
It's been tryin' to break my spirit
And they call it "cowboy blues"
My body full of aches 'n pains
Even got me a busted up knee
From chasin' a dream called rodeo
Battlin' a bull I couldn't beat
My wife of eight years left me
Didn't want no rodeo man
It seems ain't nothin' workin'
The way this ol' boy planned
She left me with the ranch
And my beat up chevy truck
It gets me where I'm goin'
With a little bit o' luck
The fence is needin' mendin'
The tractor's needin' fixed
This ol' boy ain't beat
But I've had my share o' licks
I got my cowboy pride
And it can't be broke or brusied
So just as sure as shine
Gonna shake them cowboy blues

"COWBOY LOVE"
Robert Smith ( Smitty )
LaneLegend

Cowboy love, forever 'n a day
Strong 'n true, can't be taken away
Every cowgirls' dream is to win this love
The love of that cowboy, sent from heaven above
His heart's been torn 'n tattered, even broken in two
Been put through hell, but still works like new
The country love in that cowboys' heart
Forms a bond with his cowgirl that can't be torn apart
Cowboy love, unspoken for now
His heart wants to love, but just ain't sure how
The cowboys' heart's worn, but the love inside's fine
He's yet to give it away, but he will in time

COWBOY'S PRIDE
By Martha Hebert
Mart710421

Wyoming,
Whispering,
Can you here it's message?
Through the long grass the buffalo grazes and knows the whispers sound
for the cowboy is to ride tonight and God is smilin down.
He here's the prayers of worried mothers
and feels the warmth of proud fathers
for the cowboy has the most faith of any in the world
and it brings a smile to our face but sometimes a tear
The love of the sport and strength through it all gives him his glory
Family gives him a sense of happiness
friends give him proudness
and perhaps the most important of all God Gives him faith,
the faith to do it all!

COWBOY UP (1)
By Beverly

How to understand Cowboy up
First step would be to ask a Cowboy
He might give you the origin
But later you find out it comes from the soul.

Cowboy Up...the words before the high
Cowboy Up...the words before the ride
Cowboy up...8 seconds on the clock
Cowboy up..his faith in God by his side

To some cowboys the rodeo is his mistress
To some the rodeo calls with mystical song
To some it is how he proves he is a man
To some its a dream he has had so long

There is no one answer, to the full understanding
Of what those powerful words mean to a man
Good luck, Chin up, Hang in there, or I believe
The difference between I think and I can.

One thing is for sure
This mans love is pure
His love for the rodeo goal
Is deep from within his soul

Always be safe........
Always have faith.......
Always believe.....
When you are ready.....
And hang up your spurs...
nothing can change...
what Cowboy up...
means to you.........

Inspired by a man who sent roses
to make a difference in my life
in return my understanding of
Cowboy up..Thanks Jim..(smile)

COWBOY UP (2)

BY Adrienne Garrison
(COWGRL69UP)

Cowboy up - it ain't no thing,
Cowboy up -it's all you need,
Cowboy up -the last words you hear
when the gate is open
and your eight is near.
You're in your seat.
Your eight is up.
You rode that bull!
You cowboy'd up!

COWBOY IS HIS NAME

JOBSAUNT

THERE'S A HUNDRED YEARS OF HISTORY AND A HUNDRED BEFORE THAT
ALL GATHER IN THE THINKING GOING ON BENEATH HIS HAT.
THE COLD FLAME BURNS WITHIN HIM TILL' HIS SKIN'S AS COLD AS ICE
AND THE DUES HE PAID TO GET HERE ARE WORTH EVERY SACRIFICE.
ALL THE MILES SPENT SLEEPY DRIVING, ALL THE MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN
ALL THE "IF I'S" AND "NEARLY" ALL THE BANDAGES AND PAIN.
ALL THE FEMALE TEARS LEFT DRYIN AND THE FEAVER IN THE FIGHT
ARE JUST A SMALL DOWN PAYMENT ON THE RIDE HE MAKES TONIGHT.
IT'S GUTS, LOVE AND GLORY, ONE MORTALS CHANCE AT FAME.
HIS LEGACY IS RODEO,
AND COWBOY IS HIS NAME.
